Privacy policy

Short version

Calcs collects nothing. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking scripts, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics. Every calculation happens locally in your browser. Your inputs never leave your device.

What the server sees

When you load a page, your browser tells our web server (Caddy, hosted in Germany) which URL you want and a few standard HTTP headers (IP address, User-Agent, language). The server logs these temporarily for operational diagnostics. Logs are rotated and not used for any other purpose.

What we do not do

  • No advertising networks or pixel trackers
  • No Google Analytics, Plausible, or any analytics today
  • No cookies (the site sets none)
  • No localStorage / sessionStorage outside of optional UI state in your browser
  • No social-media trackers or share-button scripts
  • No A/B testing or behavioral profiling

Fonts and assets

Fonts (Inter, Orbitron, JetBrains Mono) are loaded via Next.js, which inlines them at build time and serves them from our own domain. They are not fetched from Google Fonts at runtime, so no requests go to Google when you load a page.

If we add analytics later

If we ever add analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting, self-hosted, no-cookie tool like Plausible or Umami. We will update this page and notify visitors in the footer first.
